About Me

I am Maria Vermeij, a 37-year-old resident of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, where I live with my partner and our four children: Sophie, Julia, Chris, and Tim. With over 15 years of experience in maternity care, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my profession.

Fluent in English, I also have a good command of German and a basic knowledge of French. Throughout the years, I have engaged with various cultures, enriching my understanding and appreciation of the world around me.

And of course I have been properly trained.

Why I love penguins.

Penguins are loyal because cooperation is beneficial for reproduction and survival; by staying together for life, they increase their chances of successfully raising their young. They save time and energy by not having to find a new partner, build a nest together, and help each other with incubation and care. This behavior strengthens the bond and makes them more efficient parents.

Do I do everything by myself?

No, my partner handles the administrative side. So you might suddenly receive an email from my partner. She handles the claims and forwards important information. If you have any questions about the insurance, you can simply email info@maternitycareamsterdam.com Don't be surprised if you get a reply from my partner.

Especially with brothers and sisters we also do a lot together, how nice is it to help out with your favorite cuddly toy. Maybe your cuddly toy wants to be weighed? Or can it also wear a diaper or clothes! This way you can practice well to help care for the little baby!
